The two centers, identical in design, use Quartz QMC master control, complete with DVE, logo store, downstream keyer and a QMC-FS control panel.
It also employs a 128x128 SDI/analog audio router interfacing with a Harris automation system. The system drives an Omneon video server for the ingest and playout of all program titles, commercials and stings. Other sources include a character generator, an on-air clock and two local VTRs.
The new control centers are part of an ongoing upgrade to the Johannesburg Studio Complex.
