NEP Supershooters selects Grass Valley HD equipment For ‘Monday Night Football’

NEP Supershooters is using a variety of Grass Valley HD production equipment from Thomson to televise the inaugural season of ESPN's “NFL Monday Night Football,” which began on Aug. 14th. All of the four pre-season and 17 regular season games will be broadcast in the 720p HD format.

NEP Supershooters, located in Pittsburgh, will dispatch its SS-25 HD truck, which includes a Grass Valley Kalypso HD Video Production Center switcher, 20 LDK 6000 mk II WorldCam HD cameras, four Grass Valley LDK 6200 HD Super SloMo digital cameras, a Grass Valley Trinix 160x128 HD video router and an assortment of Gecko and Kameleon signal conversion modules.

Because of the Grass Valley equipment's multiformat capabilities, NEP's 52ft, all-digital SS-25 HD mobile production truck, using the same LDK 6000 mk II WorldCam cameras, can be used to produce 1080i HD productions for other clients when required. SS-25 HD is also equipped to produce multichannel audio in the Circle Surround format.
