New collector inductive output tubes minimize operating costs

Three- and five-stage water cooled tubes will be available this summer from e2v. A five-stage oil-cooled device will follow.

As natural combinations of e2v's plug-in IOT and depressed collector klystron technologies, the ESCIOTs have been designed to improve efficiency while capitalizing on value, extensive heritage and ease of use.

The new ESCIOTs can provide up to 60 percent efficiency, thereby maximizing operating efficiency and minimizing operator energy costs.
