On-Air Systems’ playKast server is designed to replace several expensive pieces of hardware traditionally used in the transmission chain.
On-Air Systems will demonstrate playKast, a full-featured, low maintenance television playout system for all single and multichannel broadcasting requirements.
playKast is a multi-format playout server and graphics overlay generator, combined with feature-sets for live news production control, media management, full playout redundancy, as-run logging and reporting, media validating and archiving, and scheduling and editing.
Applications include single channel playout; complex multichannel playout; continuous 24-hour playout; live studio control; corporate training and in-house information channels; retail point of sale video; and information points at airport, bus and train terminals.
