Opticomm's DVX-6000 single fiber optic system
The DVX-6000 from Opticomm is a laser-based single fiber-optic system.
The system automatically locks to the standard SMPTE SDI-HD rates (143,177, 270, 360, 540 and 1485Mb/s) and processes them to minimize jitter and BER across the link. An uncompressed digital signal offers receiver output stability, unaffected by optical fiber attenuation, aging, splicing and other degradation. The system uses single-mode fibers for signal uniformity.
The system is embedded with AES/EBU audio and data (per SMPTE 272/299M) and is compatible with Opticomm's Multiple Division Multiplexing (MDM) series of products for single-fiber multichannel transmission.
Units are available in stand-alone and rack-mounted versions for the Multiverse Chassis (CC-18-100). The CC-18-100 chassis has up to 16 slots with a single 100W power supply (PSU-100), and up to 14 slots with dual redundant 100W power supplies. Both optical and electrical connections are accessed from the back. The rack-mount power supply is a regulated switching supply with short-circuit protection, and an input operating voltage of 87-264 VAC.
