Panasonic launches online museum to celebrate 90 years of business

Panasonic’s newly launched online museum highlights product and historical milestones achieved during parent company Matsushita Electric Industrial’s 90 years in business.
Panasonic has opened a new online museum that recognizes nine decades of design developments and innovations to commemorate its 90th anniversary.
Available in more than 20 languages, the museum provides information on products and historical milestones as well as includes a collection of designs taken from the company’s history.
The online museum is structured to include four sections: product timeline, company timeline, design ethos and R&D activities. Visitors to the museum will learn a lot more about the products that have helped shape Panasonic throughout its history. In addition, it also explains how Konosuke Matsushita succeeded in converting his company into an electronics giant.
On Jan. 10, 2008, Matsushita Electric Industrial announced that it will officially change its name to “Panasonic" Oct. 1.
