Pebble Beach automation for music channels

Pebble Beach Systems, a UK supplier of media automation software, has announced that Emap Performance Television in the UK has installed its Neptune transmission automation system to control the playout of its seven digital music channels—The Box, Kerrang!, Kiss, Magic, Q, Smash Hits and The Hits.

Neptune is a transmission automation product designed to automate the acquisition and playout of programs, commercials and trailers in a television station. It runs on a Windows 2000 PC hardware platforms.

The system is a multichannel, frame-accurate, reliable, effective and easy-to-use tool. It controls a full range of devices including cart machines, video disk servers, VTRs, character generators, routers, master control switchers and logo inserters.
