Pebble Beach provides automation for Dunya TV

Dunya TV has selected Pebble Beach Systems to provide an automation solution as part of a new broadcast facility, based in Lahore, Pakistan. The facility will broadcast two channels: Dunya Entertainment and Dunya News, both managed under Pebble Beach Neptune automation.

Dunya TV required an automation system with the flexible capabilities to integrate various workflows suitable for news production and general channel playout. The Neptune system provides integration between a wide range of devices, allowing Dunya to adopt the workflows required for ingest, archive, browse review, editing and playout.

An Omneon Media Grid is used for content archive, with Pebble Beach’s Anchor Media Manager handling all media transfer through the system. Neptune also supports Dunya’s newsroom through integration with an Apple Xsan server, used with more than 10 Final Cut Pro editors and an ENPS newsroom via MOS interface.
