Pericom's HDMI switch provides 1.65Gb/s data rate



Pericom’s new switch transmits digital television audiovisual signals from DVD players, STBs and additional audio-visual sources to television sets, projectors and other video displays.

Pericom Semiconductor has introduced its new HD multimedia interface (HDMI) switch device that features a maximum DVI/HDMI data rate of 1.65Gb/s. It provides the 1920x 1080 resolution required by HDTV and PC graphics applications.

The PI3HDMI412 (4-differential channel, 2:1 mux/demux) DVI/HDMI signal switch was designed using high-speed differential broadband switching technology that provides DVI/HDMI TMDS signal processing.

The new switch transmits digital television audiovisual signals from DVD players, STBs and additional audio-visual sources to television sets, projectors and other video displays. Samples of the switch are currently available.
