CineWave 3, the editing and compositing application for digital video from Pinnacle Systems, is now available with support for Mac OS X 10.2. Apple has certified CineWave 3 with Final Cut Pro 3.0.4 running under Jaguar. New features in version 3 include an enhanced Aqua user interface, beefed up performance, and more than 20 real-time effects. The real-time effects include transitions, a variety of keyframeable image control options and a two-way color corrector.
Improvements to the CineWave codec make it more flexible. CineWave 3 also provides new CineSuperSync audio capability, the result of a collaborative development effort between Pinnacle and Apple that delivers audio/video sync when used with Final Cut 3.0.4. It also now delivers 24p standard definition support with simultaneous 29.97fps external video monitoring.
Users can add Pinnacle's new 10 bit SDI Pro Digital Plus breakout box with support for up to four channels of AES/EBU audio, dual SDI outputs and monitoring of analog composite video and RCA unbalanced audio I/Os.
