Pinnacle’s Deko gets in the game

Highly portable mobile systems handle all on-air scoring displays including slide out effects to exhibit statistics, full screen graphics, animations and more

Pinnacle Systems’ FXDeko II character generators are being used to create and deliver all on-air graphics for Turner Network Television's NBA coverage. The graphics-intensive programming has included the network's NBA Thursday night doubleheaders and the recent NBA All-Star Weekend. It will also be featured during the upcoming NBA playoffs including TNT's coverage of the Western Conference Finals.

Up to six FXDeko II systems are used in TNT's mobile trucks, in the TNT basketball studio and as part of the master control infrastructure. Highly portable mobile systems handle all on-air scoring displays including slide out effects to exhibit statistics, full screen graphics, animations and more.

In the studio, FXDeko II delivers all of the lower thirds, full screen graphics and other elements that go into the slick, fast-paced programming. It is also used in the integration room, where TNT brings together its studio and game feeds to create a final package for broadcast with updated score and promotional tickers.
