Mar 13, 2008 8:47 AM
Multimedia Polska has deployed the TANDBERG Television OpenStream Digital Services Platform (DSP) to power its video-on-demand (VOD) services.
Multimedia Polska has more than 600,000 customers and is one of the leading Polish providers of triple-play services, combining hybrid cable/IPTV television, broadband Internet and fixed-line telephony in a single package.
The VOD service is a critical aspect of the company’s deployment of an advanced multimedia offering. Programming includes a broad lineup of movies, sports and entertainment and is available via free, subscription, transaction or time-shift/catch-up services. Multimedia Polska also launched an HDTV offering last year using TANDBERG Television encoding.
As part of the contract, TANDBERG Television provided its Xport on-demand content production software system as well as its OpenStream back office solution.
