QuStream, a private equity group, has purchased the assets and product lines of PESA Switching Systems, a provider of analog and digital video and audio signal-distribution equipment. No financial details were provided.
Coinciding with the acquisition, PESA has appointed Steve Miller to president and COO. Miller, who will relocate to PESA’s Huntsville, AL, office, joins PESA from Thomson Broadcast, where he spent the past four years as director of engineering for modular products.
PESA’s main development and manufacturing operation will remain in Huntsville, while sales and marketing activities will continue to operate out of the company’s Melville, NY, office. Bob McAlpine will remain as senior vice president of sales and marketing while also assuming the position of vice president of business development for QuStream.
