SeaChange completes acquisition of Liberate’s international business

SeaChange International has completed its acquisition of Liberate Technologies’ business assets outside of North America. Twenty existing Liberate employees will remain with the company in its San Mateo, CA and London, UK, facilities.

Under terms of the acquisition, SeaChange and its subsidiaries will pay approximately $23.5 million in cash for Liberate’s existing customer contracts, received patents and other intellectual property, and assumed certain limited liabilities, related to Liberate’s business outside of North America.
