Shenick Network Systems recently decided to take on a new direction in its product offering. Originally, the company focused on offering lab-based test and monitoring equipment that telcos could use to ensure their infrastructure was up to the stresses of transporting video IP packets.
But as the industry begins to mature, the need for ongoing IPTV monitoring and service assurance has grown. That has lead Shenick to expand its offerings to monitor quality of experience with the goal of helping operators reduce customer churn.
