SMPTE New England and Stonehill College join for HDTV boot camp

The New England chapter of the Society of Motion Picture & TV Engineers (SMPTE) has teamed up with Stonehill College to offer a free all-day seminar on shooting, post-producing, and distributing HD material. The seminar, “SMPTE/NE HDTV Boot Camp,” will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., March 10th at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.

The seminar, which will provide detailed demonstrations and technical discussions on multichannel audio, and HD video (monitoring, production and transmission), is open to all SMPTE members and the general public.

Participating companies/stations that will give presentations at the seminar include: Avid Technology, Comcast Communications, Dolby Labs, JVC Professional, Leader Instruments, Leitch, Miljoy Enterprises, Panasonic, Snell & Wilcox, Sony, Tektronix, Teranex, Ultech, and WCVB-TV5, Boston.
