Sony introduces new wireless projector for education applications

Sony's VPL-CX85 portable projector

Sony recently introduced its new lightweight portable projector weighing less than nine pounds. With its 3000 ANSI lumens, the VPL-CX85 can adjust to any setting, light or dark.

The VPL-CX85 has two RGB inputs and one RGB monitor out, with the option to deliver a presentation without a PC through the use of MemoryStick flash media. Critical for education applications, the RGB monitor out allows teachers to view their lecture on a desktop monitor while presenting to students in the classroom.

The model comes with two remote controls: A basic presentation remote and a compact presentation remote that includes slide advancement buttons and a laser pointer. It also automatically performs keystone corrections (vertical and horizontal) and has the ability to store settings. The projector also possesses password protection for increased security.
