T-VIPS compresses 3-D HD with JPEG2000 gateway, transports via IP link

Sep 23, 2009 11:00 AM

T-VIPS demonstrated deployment-ready 3-D HD video transport solutions at IBC2009.

For the demonstration, 3-D content was compressed in JPEG2000 format by using T-VIPS JPEG2000 gateways before being transported over an IP link and decoded by a separate T-VIPS video gateway and viewed on a 3-D display.

The T-VIPS video gateway suite is a line of compact products designed for real-time contribution and distribution of broadcast-quality video over IP networks. These products also allow network operators to build revenue-generating, professional wide-area networks for the video industry.
