Telecast Fiber Systems introduces new DiamondBack II video multiplexer at IBC2003

Telecast Fiber Systems introduced the DiamondBack II video multiplexer at IBC2003.

The successor to the DiamondBack multiplexer, the new unit transmits eight broadcast-quality analog video signals with a ninth input to accommodate audio, intercom and data signals from the company’s Adder multiplexer line.

By incorporating up to eight video and 16 audio channels on a single fiber, DiamondBack II provides broadcasters with a means of streamlining broadcast-quality video productions.

The DiamondBack II supports a full range of TV production functions, including broadcast announce-booth feeds, courtesy and utility video, high-end video surveillance, traffic cameras, distance learning programming, corporate video distribution, video arraignment and telemedicine applications. It can also be used as a low-cost tool for single-mode video and audio telecommunications at distances of up to 30 kilometers.
