Thales Broadcast & Multimedia has unveiled ThalesCrypt, a new DTV security service platform designed to protect contribution links.

ThalesCrypt is an end-to-end solution for digital content security with the ability to adapt to any satellite, cable, terrestrial or broadband network. Thales’ new security service platform addresses all aspects of content delivery and security, including advanced scrambling, content reception and de-encryption. The platform is ideal for contribution network security, over-scrambling and DSNG/live events security applications.

ThalesCrypt makes use of proven algorithms to provide operators with a high security level. Each decoding module is unique and can be disabled independently if necessary. The security service platform is also modular and scalable, preserving a customer’s initial investment, allowing the system to grow with an operator’s needs. Tailored for small to medium networks, ThalesCrypt is easily scaleable from 1 to 10,000 reception sites.
