TV alliance launches certification for television professionals

The Interactive Television Alliance (ITA) has rolled out an Executive Certification Program for interactive television production professionals.

The initiative is open to everyone. DigitalMentors, a digital television training and media executive education service, partnered with ITA to develop the tiered curriculum.

Training is divided into three levels:

• An entry-level certification to demonstrate structure and objectivity to career progression within the industry;
• A mid-level credential tests baseline technical knowledge of digital television and interactive TV technologies;
• The senior level, which includes the highest level of expertise in the iTV industry: the Solutions Architect, designating the ability to integrate multiple products across the range of digital TV delivery platforms.

The ITA plans to offer further collaborative curriculum development to its University Network.
