TV3 selects Pro-Bel for new sister station

Pro-Bel has been selected by Malaysian free-to-air broadcaster TV3, owned by Media Prima, to provide an SDI Sirius router and two SDI TX 420 master control switchers for TV3’s new sister station, 8TV.

The Sirius router and TX 420s will form an integral part of 8TV’s master control room. The TX 420s’ - which both include four DSKs and DVEs - enable 8TV to introduce voiceovers, insert logos and produce squeezeback all within the transmission area.

TV3 will share both resources and infrastructure with 8TV, which launched in January 2004, but will transmit different content appealing to disparate audiences.
