Cable TV sports network VERSUS will use a Software Generation system to manage an HD/SD archive as a key element of its new post and production facilities. The fully integrated SGL FlashNet archive is controlled by Avid’s Interplay nonlinear workflow engine with content archived to SpectraLogic T950 LTO-4 tapes.
New Hampshire-based facility MediaKive is digitizing the VERSUS video tape library in DNX145 or DV50 format, wrapped with metadata extracted from the VERSUS Nesbit database and supporting tape logs. Once encoded, content is checked into Avid's Interplay system and then archived through SGL's FlashNet to the data tapes.
