Telestream, a provider of media workflow automation products, has announced that Victory Sports One is the first commercial customer for its new MAPreview system for the capture, organization, search and review of multiple live video feeds.
Victory Sports One, a new regional sports network serving the upper Midwest, uses tapeless technology to automatically record sports programs and commercials 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Telestream’s MAPreview automatically records multiple video feeds and captures important metadata during ingest. It performs automated background tasks to index, reformat, move and archive content across the network. Operators can access, search, view and share content from their desktop PCs.
Victory Sports One will become the new home for the Minnesota Twins games beginning with the 2004 Major League Baseball season. It focuses its programming efforts on local athletic events in a footprint that includes Minnesota, North and South Dakota and portions of Iowa and Wisconsin.
