ViewCast intros new Osprey-440 capture card

The Osprey-440 supports four independent A/V channels and allows the use of up to 16 cameras or other video sources.

ViewCast has released its Osprey-440 audio and video capture card. The Osprey-440 supports four independent A/V channels and allows the use of up to 16 cameras or other video sources.

With a single Osprey-440 card, systems integrators, OEMs, and developers can now increase their audio and video channel density to meet requirements for large video systems installations.

Four external BNC connectors are available on the Osprey-440 for analog composite video inputs, with each connected to a dedicated capture channel. Twelve additional auxiliary inputs are available on an internal pin-field connector that can be used as an alternative to the rear panel connectors.

Users can connect multiple video sources to a single card and use software to switch between them as needed for applications that require monitoring of multiple feeds. Alarm relays on each channel can activate a user-defined event as determined by the user’s applications. The capture cards also provide four channels of stereo audio, allowing capture of synchronized audio with video.
