Weather Channel purchases Accom DVE systems

Accom's Dveous/MX digital video effects systems
The Weather Channel has purchased two Accom Dveous/MX universal format digital video effects systems for use in separate production control rooms.

Dveous/MX features a combination of new internal disk storage and built-in Ethernet, allowing technical directors and effects artists to manage their effects palette by transferring existing effects and JPEG imagery from any source on the network. Software updates can be loaded direct via ftp transfer.

Dveous/MX provides eight channels of SD and HD effects capability and can be set to work as a Dual Twin or Quad Twin system in standard definition (525 or 625) or, with a simple setting change, be transformed to work in high definition (720 or 1080) at all frame rates.
