WTVR-TV, the Raycom Media-owned CBS affiliate in Richmond, VA, recently launched its expanded Beat the Traffic reporting system, using traffic reporting technology from Triangle Software.

The station’s Beat the Traffic team uses the solution to report on road speeds, traffic hot spots, incidents, construction and other events to help viewers plan the best routes to their destination. The system is featured in the station’s 6 Beat the Traffic segments throughout the morning and evening commutes and anytime on the Internet at the station’s Web site.

The station also has partnered with GRTC RideFinders to provide information on transit, van pool, carpool, rideshare and telecommuting solutions to region viewers and employers.
