A2A signs sales system contract with ESPN

Broadcast software developer A2A has won a contract to build a pan-European Airtime Sales System for the Disney-owned ESPN Classic Sports.

The advertising management system will allow the broadcasters to launch various feeds and advertising campaigns via Sky Media in the UK, Sky Italia and Sky Channels in France and Germany.

The Web-based system can scale for many channels. It currently manages program schedule information, maintains break patterns and controls all imports and exports between scheduling systems and third party sales systems, including as-runs, spot schedules and campaign details.

The first phase of the system was implemented in July with the last module being added this week.
