SysMedia’s Plasma Magenta, content management system helped Liberty Media broadcast an OCAP application from its uplink facility.
SysMedia is demonstrating an end-to-end solution for the production and distribution of OCAP/ACAP/MHP-compliant interactive TV content and applications at NAB. Highlights will include SysMedia’s Plasma Magenta content management and production system and the JAME Application Framework.
SysMedia is co-exhibiting at NAB with integration partners Fraunhofer IMK, developers of the JAME MHP Application Framework, and Strategy & Technology (S&T) who offer DSMCC object carousels.
At NAB, the companies will show an application that’s essentially a two-day movie schedule plus in-depth background information. It can be scheduled and integrated into the transmission stream using S&T’s TSBroadcaster object carousel. An ADB i-CAN set-top box can used to decode it.
At SysMedia’s DVB booth, visitors can see how these elements combine to provide a system that facilitates the cost-effective production of standards-compliant iTV applications.
