SysMedia has licensed JAME Author from the Fraunhofer Institute for Media Communication IMK for sale on a global basis.
This strategic step enables SysMedia to broaden its offering into the enhanced television space by facilitating the creation of MHP-based interactive content, complementing its existing solutions for the 24-hour digital teletext MHP market. The new product is targeted at production and post-production companies, as well as media professionals in this growing market.
The licensing agreement follows a previous SysMedia-Fraunhofer IMK deal in which Fraunhofer IMK’s JAME Application Framework was integrated with SysMedia’s Plasma Magenta content management technology for use in the MHP digital interactive TV and teletext markets.
JAME Author is a complete, easy-to-use MHP authoring system for creating enhanced TV services. It allows users to define the design and behavior of separate pages and connect them to an iTV service by an inter-page navigation structure.
