The OCTOPUS Field Reporter gives users access to the features of the OCTOPUS Newsroom System regardless of where they are.
OCTOPUS Newsroom will introduce a new, integrated, platform-independent, stand-alone client to be used by freelance reporters, video reporters on the road or producers working on remote assignments at IBC2005.

OCTOPUS Field Reporter gives users access to the features of the OCTOPUS Newsroom System regardless of where they are, what nonlinear editing tool they are using or what operating system platform they use. Reporters can prepare their stories, save them into folders, prompt the stand-ups and create and attach video packages. They also can call virtually any NLE directly from the script.

Whenever there’s an Internet connection available, reporters can send offline stories, scripts and video packages to the OCTOPUS system at the news organization’s headquarters for editorial approval and emission.
