Evoxe demonstrated its enhanced NIS4 NRCS at the recent IBC show. The company showed new AV clip-handling tools and a rapid clips-to-air workflow to handle contributions from citizen journalists. Evoxe also announced new and enhanced systems integration with Grass Valley, Oasys and Quantel.
NIS4 provides a desktop application to access the tools and workflows for all the news team roles, including access to the NIS Assets Database that holds all metadata on all assets in the NRCS. This user interface is further enhanced by the addition of AV tools that enable NIS operators to: browse imported AV clips with jog shuttle control; trim in and out points; have partial clip retrieve with automatic new asset card creation; include clips in news stories and grab one or multiple bit-maps that can be reused in the NIS Web channel.
