NBC Universal forms Technology Growth Center
NBC Universal has formed the Technology Growth Center (TGC), a central technology division, dedicated to facilitating new business opportunities in digital media. The company also announced that Darren Feher, executive vice president and chief technology officer, has been named head of the TGC.
The TGC is organized in four divisions: Technical Product Development, Policy, Strategy and Standards, Emerging Technology and Research and Anti-Piracy Technical Operations.
Towey, Riss to discuss technology, design at conference
CBS Sports' creative director Doug Towey and Flying Machine co-founder and creative director Micha Riss will partner to deliver a keynote presentation at the Sports Media and Technology Conference July 19 in Las Vegas.
Their keynote address, "Technology and Design: A Vital Harmony," will address the integral elements of the broadcast screen: technology and design.

Fox Sports inks deal with My TV
Fox Sports has entered into a three-year agreement with My TV for carriage of the Fox Sports Africa network in Nigeria and Ghana.
Fox Sports joins a select group of networks on My TV's satellite system. The service comprises a mix of movie, sports, music, kids, news and general interest programming.

Greens Worldwide closes Still Moving acquisition
Greens Worldwide announced April 18 that it has closed its acquisition of Still Moving. Still Moving has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Greens Worldwide. Still Moving will provide in-house television production capabilities to produce the television programming of the U.S. Pro Golf Tour on Fox Sports Net and the New England Pro Golf Tour on The Golf Channel.
Nike, Maven Networks to roll out JogaTV
Nike and Maven Networks have unveiled JogaTV, a new Internet TV channel devoted to exclusive soccer video of some of the game’s greatest players. JogaTV will offer an insider view into the world of soccer via multiple video programs, all of which can be shared among friends.
Maven Media System is the technology link between video programming from Nike and its network of soccer fans.
