For the second consecutive year, TNT turned to Helinet Aviation Services to give viewers HD aerial shots as part of its coverage of NBA regional finals action – this time during the Eastern Conference Finals in Detroit and Miami.
Using its Cineflex HiDEF camera platform, Helinet delivered live shots from above The Palace of Auburn Hills and the American Airlines Arena. Along with the Cineflex HiDEF and receive sites at both arenas, Helinet provided TNT with a helicopter, pilot and camera operator.
The NBA Eastern Conference Finals cap a year in which Helinet provided TNT with live, aerial HD during 14 regular season NBA games. TNT turned to Helinet during last season's Western Conference Finals between the L.A. Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
