Verizon FiOS TV to offer New England Cable News

Regional news network New England Cable News will be distributed in New England Markets on Verizon FiOS TV, the companies announced last week.
NECN will be available to subscribers of FiOS TV Premier who live in Woburn, Reading and Lynnfield, MA, where Verizon offers FiOS TV service.
Verizon will also carry the channel in other New England markets as it obtains cable franchises and launches service. On May 30, Verizon was awarded a video franchise in Tewksbury, MA, and it received franchises in Wakefield, Hamilton and Wenham, MA, two weeks ago.
NECN serves in excess of 3.5 million homes in more than 1000 cities and towns throughout New England. Launched on March 2, 1992, NECN is a partnership between Comcast and Hearst and provides 24-hour access to breaking news, sports, weather and traffic.
