Reiss, Alessandri assume new roles at ESPN
Geoff Reiss and Rick Alessandri, two ESPN executives, have assumed new positions within the company. Reiss will move into the role of senior vice president of programming for ESPN Original Entertainment (EOE). Alessandri will move into the role of senior vice president of consumer products.

NESN to move
New England Sports Network is moving to a new production facility in Watertown, MA, extending its HD programming. The move to the new 40,000sq-ft facility is scheduled for Feb. 24, according to a GlobeSt.com report.
ESPN secures rights to World Baseball Classic
ESPN, Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have reached an agreement that makes ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Syndication the exclusive domestic English-language providers of the inaugural World Baseball Classic when it is held in March.
ESPN Deportes, ESPN’s Spanish-language network in the United States will be the only network to televise all 39 games of the inaugural Classic.
