AmiNET530 completes MPEGIF Logo Qualification Program for MPEG-4 AVC/H.264

IPTV platform supplier Amino’s AmiNET530 set-top box (STB) is the first HD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 IPTV DVR STB to meet the premium conformance tier of the MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) Logo Qualification Program.

The MPEGIF Logo Qualification Program is designed to help guide interoperability among products and technology. Qualified products have the right to display the MP4 Qualification Mark and also list their status in their documentation, literature and advertising. They will also have their product listed in the MPEGIF Product Directory.

The AmiNET series of IPTV STBs has been used in commercial deployments and trials in more than 80 countries worldwide. Amino's principal clients are telecommunications, broadcast and hospitality service operators. Generally, AmiNET products are supplied with the IntAct IPTV software stack preloaded.

The AmiNET530 is a DVR/PVR IPTV STB that combines low bit rate codecs including MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) with the ability to drive HD displays via analogue and HDMI connections. This interactive STB also includes the ability to view recorded content either locally or via other connected STBs in the home.

The MPEGIF represents more than 40 international companies and organizations from diverse industries and promotes the adoption of MPEG standards. Founded in 2000, the MPEGIF has played a significant role in facilitating the widespread adoption and deployment of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264.
