Akimbo chooses Carbon Coder video transcoding solution

Akimbo has selected Harmonic’s Rhozet Carbon Coder for automated Web-based video transcoding and packaging.

Akimbo manages a vast library of mainstream and niche encoded video content acquired through numerous relationships with content providers. Because this content comes from a variety of sources and in a range of formats, Akimbo needed a way to collect and transcode a large amount of content while maintaining quality.

Rhozet Carbon Coder has enabled Akimbo to create a Web-based solution that makes it convenient for partners to submit video, which is automatically transcoded and sent to Akimbo's publishing system.
