News One to launch as dedicated news channel in Pakistan

TV One in Karachi, Pakistan, is launching News One, a channel dedicated to news coverage that will provide five-minute news bulletins every hour tucked between dramas, soaps and lifestyle programs, as well as full-on news programming.
Throughout the next year, News One will provide top-quality, up-to-the-minute coverage of events, such as the presidential, national and local elections and coverage of yearly budgets. At the heart of the technology being used for the new news channel is the AP’s ENPS with WASP3D providing real-time on-air graphics.
TV One and News One are part of Airwaves Media, owned by Interflow Communications, a leading ad agency in Pakistan. Interflow Communications launched the first privately owned TV channel in Pakistan in the early 1990s, as well as TV ASIA in the UK.
