NRK to expand reach to new platforms with Entriq PUBLISH

NRK, the state broadcaster in Norway, is planning a June launch of a system to deliver rich media content to consumer digital platforms in real time.
Using Entriq’s PUBLISH system, NRK will expand its reach to deliver news and other content to viewers via the Web, mobile devices and PDAs. The Entriq PUBLISH system streamlines workflows, reduces operational overhead and increases potential new business opportunities.
The new service will commence this summer from NRK's main broadcast center in Oslo. Entriq PUBLISH will integrate with NRK’s existing infrastructure, including: Program Bank, an NRK internal project that provides centralized storage of all video content; an Omnibus broadcast media management system; Quantel’s sQ news production platform; an ENPS newsroom automation system; a DigAS radio automation system; and a Polopoly Web content management system.
