RTNDF workshop to offer advice on improving newsroom leadership, management

The Radio and Television News Directors Foundation will conduct a special leadership and management workshop Feb. 27-28, in Columbia, SC, aimed at helping newsroom leaders deal with the challenges they are facing.
The workshop will cover tech tips and tools for interactive, digital newsrooms, managing change, getting the best results from Gen Y employees and how to communicate with employees in a variety of challenging situations.
Workshop instructors include Chip Mahaney, director of digital content, E.W. Scripps; Jill Geisler, group leader, The Poynter Institute Leadership and Management Programs; Stacey Woelfel, news director, KOMU-TV, Columbia, MO; Kevin Benz, news director, News 8 Austin, TX, and RTNDA regional director.
The cost of the workshop is $40 per person and includes one night’s lodging, dinner and lunch.
