RTS selects P2 as SD, HD format to support production, post

TS is adopting P2 tapeless storage for its production and post-production work.
Reportage Television Studio (RTS) in Rome has adopted Panasonic's P2 solid-state tapeless format.
RTS will deploy Panasonic AJ-HPX3000G cameras and P2 storage cards as well as the AJ-HPM110E P2 card player and recorder for both SD and HD.
RTS specializes in production and post production for Italian and international clients including RAI, EBU (European Broadcast Union), France 2 and ASI (the Italian Space Agency). Its news division, RTS News, provides coverage of special events such as the G7 convention.
After analyzing the market, RTS selected P2 for both SD and HD production.
Throughout Europe, 80 percent of the broadcasters that have made the switch to tapeless production methods have chosen P2 and P2HD.
