At the MacWorld Conference & Expo in San Francisco,Jan. 5-9,Sonnet Technologies will feature its Fusion F3 hardware RAID storage system that encloses a pair of high-performance 3.5in SATA drives to create 1TB, 2TB or 3TB configurations in an aluminum and steel case.
The Fusion F3 is well-suited for applications in studios, high-end A/V racks, mobile TV trucks and desktop or portable video editing systems. Each of the Fusion F3's drives is mounted side by side on its own multipoint shock-isolation sled to eliminate vibration-related problems, such as crosscoupled vibration.
The rack-mountable Fusion F3 measures 1RU high, a half-rack wide and 14.25in deep. The OS-independent RAID storage system can be configured to be fast (RAID 0), safe (RAID 1) or JBOD (Just a Bunch of Drives).
