India’s UTV Global Broadcasting is using vsnmulticom to manage and automate master control for its newly launched UTV Movies, a 24-hour Hindi movie channel.
Launched in February, the channel provides one hit Hindi movie everyday and exclusive access to behind-the-scenes action
The vsn master control solution was installed in a fully redundant architecture and is managing a total of eight channels for ingest and playout on an Omneon Spectrum video server. The system also includes a Pro-Bel Sirius 96 x 96 router, a 32-port Pro-Bel Freeway, an Eyeheight master switcher, a Ross DSK unit and three Sony VTRs.
The robustness and stability of two previously installed vsn systems with similar configurations at Star News and Zoom TV in India were key to UTV’s decision to use the vsn system.
