Wegener has unveiled its new Nielsen SpoTTrac Digital encoder product, which supports Nielsen Tracking Services.
The SpoTTrac Digital encoder is an encoding and watermarking solution manufactured for The Nielsen Company. SpoTTrac Digital enables Nielsen’s customers, including broadcasters, advertisers and producers, to verify their HD and SD commercials, public service announcements, promos and other media content on television. It also tracks audience exposure to those messages.
A turnkey HDTV solution, SpoTTrac Digital encodes HD-SDI (1080i and 720p) HD video and four channels of AES/EBU audio as well as SDI-SD (NTSC) SD A/V signals, with up to 12 channels of SDI embedded audio. During the real-time encoding process, SpoTTrac Digital embeds Nielsen’s watermarking identification information into the video and audio content without affecting picture or sound quality.
