WTVT-TV adds Baron Services Omni HD weather system

WTVT-TV in Tampa, FL, has installed a new Baron Services Omni HD weather platform to provide viewers with weather reports that combine 3-D models, terrain and data-driven animations with a real-time HD environment.
Omni blends 3-D terrain and superimposed high-resolution mapping to produce a relevant, accurate and localized picture of the weather as it is actually occurring. The weather platform also comes with HD data products, aerial mapping, nationwide and worldwide topography, ocean depth mapping, political boundaries and an earth halo effect in a renderless environment.
