Barco has begun shipping the OVTS-70 70in SMART DViT technology display wall touch system intended for interactive backdrop applications in news, sports and entertainment studios and network operations rooms.
The new system integrates SMART Technologies' DViT (Digital Vision Touch) technology, enabling broadcast presenters to access and manipulate data across a large screen area. The system uses two digital cameras with CMOS image sensors located on the corners of the video wall and recognition algorithms to determine the exact position of the user's fingertip to make a clear distinction between single clicking, double clicking and drag and drop functions.
The system runs with Barco's high-brightness 70in OV-D2 rear-projection video wall displays for backdrop applications.
