Brazil’s TV Bandeirantes inks $1.4 million deal for Vizrt 3-D graphics

One of Brazil's largest national TV networks, TV Bandeirantes, has placed a networkwide order valued at about $1.4 million for Vizrt's real-time 3-D graphics systems.

TV Bandeirantes will equip its network center in São Paulo with Vizrt graphics, including 3-D caption generators using Vizrt's Viz|Trio system and a newsroom template graphics installation. TV Bandeirantes' journalists will be able to create 3-D news graphics and maps quickly by using the Viz|Content Pilot system linked to Curious World Maps software.

The deal also calls for two virtual studios, a weather forecasting system, virtual graphics for live sports and interactive SMS graphics for mobile phone users.
