Canada’s OMNI.10 turns to Chyron HyperX HD/SD

Rogers Communications-owned Canadian TV station OMNI.10 has purchased a Chyron HyperX HD/SD switchable graphics system for use as its primary graphics system and short clip player for current affairs, talk shows and other short-form programs.

OMNI.10, part of the OMNI Television Group, will rely on the system’s high-speed graphics engine to enable sophisticated animated and still lower thirds, over-the-shoulder and full-frame shots and clips. The HD capabilities of the HyperX will be used when the network switches to HD transmission in the future.

Canadian systems integrator VidCom Communications sold the system.
