CBS News, station group launch Web syndication with Voxant

CBS News and CBS Television Stations Group announced May 24 that national and local news clips are available online through Voxant, the Viral Syndication Network (VSN), and its online site, TheNewsRoom, which distributes licensed news content to thousands of Web sites and blogs.

All CBS content in TheNewsRoom is advertiser-supported and free to Web publishers and bloggers. CBS news programs, such as “The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” and “The Early Show,” will be available, as well as local news packages from owned-and-operated stations in markets including:

• KCBS/KCAL-Los Angeles;
• WBBM-Chicago;
• KYW- Philadelphia;
• KPIX-San Francisco;
• WBZ-Boston;
• KTVT/KTXA-Dallas;
• WCCO- Minneapolis;
• WFOR/WBFS-Miami;
• KCNC-Denver;
• KOVR/KMAX-Sacramento, CA;
• KDKA- Pittsburgh;
• WJZ-Baltimore.
